3719 Oak View Terrace, “Art Collector’s Joy”

If I won the lottery, I would still stay in my house.  It’s the house I’ve always wanted since I was a girl.  I love my back terrace—perfect for a garden of potted plants.  The first time I saw the terrace, I imagined Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy barbequing steaks on the built-in brick barbeque oven.  My back yard with shaded plants from the big oak trees brings me constant joy.
The house is my opportunity to showcase my favorite things.  My collection of 140 snow globes looks fabulous on my office walls.  I can’t decide which one is my favorite shakey—The Valley of the Dolls, the 2002 Olympics or my Guggenheim shakey.
My collection of album covers is great in my guest bedroom, along with my photo gallery of motels done by my nephew Chris.  Some of my favorite art from Houston artists adorns the walls of my house—Ibsen Espada, Raymond Marlen and Bernie Wilson.
