1348 Newton Street, “Victorian Cottage”

My husband and I bought this renovated 1929 Victorian style cottage a few years ago.  Since that time, we added exterior renovations and decorated the interior.  Contrasting styles were utilized on each floor to add dimension to the limited space.  The main level is a combination of antiques while the lower level reflects a contemporary style.
A surprising historical fact is that two families totaling fifteen people actually lived in this little home in 1945.  Old photos of both families and the house can be found on the dining table, as well as a poem I wrote about the possible residents of this property over the years, entitled, “Simultaneous.”  My complete book of poetry, The Alabaster Plant, will soon be available on-line at Trafford.com, Amazon.com,, etc.
I am working on my gardening skills in hopes of cultivating the front yard into an extension of the home’s charming character.
